Classically trained vocal duo, reimagining the music of the 70’s and newer in a folk rock style with their own unique classical twist

Celena and Victoria met at the age of 11 and 13 when they joined the National Youth Choir of Great Britain. They spent their respective childhoods listening to jazz, rock and folk, influenced by the musical tastes of older siblings and parents. They both went on to train at the Royal Academy of music, studying classical singing and later specialising in Opera. However throughout their training they would find themselves drawn back to this fusion of classical music, rock and folk. Out of their shared love for the music that shaped their youth and the desire to put a unique spin on classic tunes, Ostara was born. The name "Ostara" pays homage to the Goddess of Spring, symbolizing rebirth and renewal, reflecting the duo's creative journey and evolution.
